Summary
Dried figs from Turkey have been found to contain high levels of ochratoxin A, a type of mycotoxin. The levels detected exceed the maximum permitted limit set by EU regulations. The dried figs were detained at the border in Bulgaria and have not yet been released into the market for sale.
A RASFF notification means that a risk was identified and shared between national authorities. It does not necessarily mean the product was sold in every country — check the distribution list and the measures taken.
