Summary
The EU has issued a safety alert for KAKUSIGA “Single port smart charger set” (models KSC‑926 and KSC‑927), a white USB‑C charger with an integrated mains plug and cable. The product lacks adequate insulation between the primary and secondary circuits, allowing the secondary circuit and cable to become live and posing a risk of electric shock, which means it does not meet the Low Voltage Directive or EN 60335‑1. Consequently, distributors have been ordered to withdraw the charger from the market, with the measure taking effect on 16 May 2025.
