Summary
The EU has received a notification about shelled pistachios from the USA that contain high levels of aflatoxin B1 and total aflatoxins, which are mycotoxins considered serious health hazards. The product has not yet been placed on the market in the EU, but a consignment was detained at the border by Italian authorities.
