- The product presents a health risk due to the migration of primary aromatic amines (PAA) above the permissible limit. PAAs are considered carcinogenic.
- The product does not meet the requirements of The Materials and Articles in Contact with Food (England) Regulations 2012 or the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
- Corrective action
- Products with the affected date stamp have been recalled by Ikea. The recall commenced in June 2025.
- Consumers who own one of the affected stirring spatulas should immediately stop using it and return it to any IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase (receipt) is not required.
