Summary
The EU has issued a safety alert about a Chair Varberg model that can easily collapse, posing a serious risk of injuries to users. This is because the chair is not strong enough and can fail under normal use. The product must be withdrawn from sale as it does not meet EU safety standards.

Product
- Camping chair assembled with a metal frame and a fabric seat-back. The frame is made of 18 mm diameter metal tubes, 1.5 mm thick metal plates, metal rivets with washers and plastic armrests. Three 4 mm diameter metal rods and 10 mm springs are used to tension the material. Plastic legs are installed at the bottom of the chair frame. The external distance between the legs at the front is 320 mm.
What is the risk?
- The chair is not sufficiently resistant to load. As a consequence, it can easily collapse and the user fall and suffer injuries. The product does not comply with the General Product Safety Regulation.
