- The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the pins are too close to the edge of the plug. The user can access live pins when unplugging, or plugging in, the plug from the socket, and receive an electric shock.
- The product also presents a risk of fire as it is inadequately earthed. Under fault conditions, such as a surge in current, the plug may overheat and ignite, causing a fire.
- The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
