Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of fire and burns as the fuse had not been supplied with an adequate amount of granular filler. The filler is required to ensure the safe operation of the fuse under fault conditions, so the plug or cord may catch fire whilst the product is being used. The flexible lead on the supply cord had not been correctly fitted with a standard plug. The product has a counterfeit plug with an insufficient fuse and the conductor’s cross sectional area on the supply cord are insufficient. The plug fitted to the supply cord also did not comply with the Plugs and Sockets, etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

The import has been rejected at the border.
