- The product presents a high risk of electric shock as the plug face does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363 and therefore cannot make a secure connection to the socket. The plug fuse also does not contain a ballast and is deemed counterfeit. A compliant fuse with ballast is required to ensure the safe operation of the product under fault conditions. Without this, the plug may overheat and/or explode.
