A compliant, correctly rated fuse is required to ensure the safe operation of the product under fault conditions. Should a fault occur, the plug may overheat and catch fire. In addition, the mains supply cord has excessive resistance, which may also lead to localised overheating and fire. Improvements are also required to product labelling and marking.
