- The product has been identified as presenting a risk of fire, as it is possible for the electrical cabling and/or switches to overheat and become damaged. The 3500W heating plate has a serial plate rating of 15 amps but has been supplied for use in the UK with a 13amp fused plug.
- Corrective action
- The manufacturer has initiated a modification programme.
- Owners should stop using the product immediately and disconnect the heat press from the power supply.
- Contact Stahls UK (Europe) Ltd to arrange for them to replace the power switch and circuit breakers.
