- The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as it is inadequately earthed, which can allow accessible metal parts to become live under fault conditions. Additionally, the luminaire was fitted with a socket outlet so that up to four luminaires can be connected in a daisy-chain.
- The socket was not protected with automatic shutters, which also allows access to live parts. If a user were to touch these parts when the product is live, they would receive an electric shock. The product also requires improvement to marking, labelling and documentation.
- The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
