- The product presents a serious risk of fire because it is supplied with a non-compliant Euro-style plug that does not incorporate a fuse and therefore cannot meet the requirements of BS 1363. In the event of a fault or overcurrent, there is no adequate protection, which may lead to overheating and a risk of fire. The product is also supplied with a non-compliant conversion adaptor. The adaptor has a non-solid earth pin, which may result in an unreliable electrical connection. Additionally, improvements are required to the documentation, markings, instruction manual, and declaration of conformity.
- The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 or the Plugs and Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
