- The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as it can be active/energised whilst the user is filling the product. If the hot water bottle was to leak, this could mean leaking water around live parts.
- The plug also had insufficient dimensions with the pins too close to the edge of the plug, and was inadequately earthed as it did not contain a fuse.
- The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016, or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
