- The product presents a serious risk of injuries as there is no manually activated chain brake present. This could cause the chainsaw to unexpectedly kick back when used to saw wood.
- The product also has poor internal build quality as on the transformer, the primary and secondary windings were found to be touching creating a hazard of fire or explosion.
- The fuse included in the plug did not meet the requirements of BS 1362 as it was deemed to be counterfeit and has friction caps that did not contain a ballast, meaning it cannot provide the required protection under fault conditions.
- The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008, or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
