- The product is supplied with inadequate installation instructions and warnings. There are no The product presents a serious chemical risk as the plastic material from the cricket ball contains excess concentrations of phthalates. The plastic material from the cricket ball contains 0.08 ± 0.004% DBP, 1.14 ± 0.069% DEHP and 0.48 ± 0.029% DIBP. The product therefore exceeds the specified maximum limit of 0.1% by mass of the plasticised material, as the sum of the four phthalates. A young child playing with the toy is exposed to the phthalates which can potentially harm a child’s health via cancer or non-cancer effects. The product also requires improvement to marking and labelling.
