- There is is access to live parts, through the gap at the top of the shutters which poses a risk of electric shock as there.
- The user can touch part of the product that is at high voltage and may be electrocuted.
- In addition, the plug pins did not meet the dimensional requirements of the relevant standard
- (BS1363-1), the adaptor did not have a fuse fitted and there was no provision for one to be fitted.
- The product does not comply with the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
