- The product presents a risk of injuries as the retractor may not lock as designed. This could lead to the wheelchair moving during transit and injuring the user.
- The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
- Corrective action
- The product has been recalled from end users.
- Users are advised that they may continue to use the retractor while awaiting replacement, providing a pre-trip inspection is performed to assure that the product is fully locked. Product distributors have been notified and will inspect and replace affected retractors free of charge.
