- Black and pink electric hair dryer brush and styler with black power supply cord and plug. Supplied in black cardboard packaging with ‘Oen setp’ branding and white text reading ‘Hair Dryer and Styler’.

- Hazard
- The product has been identified as presenting a risk of fire and burns due to multiple safety defects. The plug was incorrectly rated for the fuse link fitted, presenting a fire hazard. Although the heating element was fitted with a device to interrupt power in response to abnormal temperatures, the device did not operate in sufficient time to prevent flames from being produced from the appliance in abnormal conditions, presenting a fire hazard.
- The mains supply cord was too thin, had excessive resistance and was protected by an incorrectly rated fuse link, presenting a fire hazard. The product also requires improvements to labelling, markings and instructions.
- The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
- Corrective action
- The product has been recalled from end users and listings removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
