Reason for the recall

The product presents a high risk of choking as it’s reasonably foreseeable that a child could confuse the magnets with gummy bear sweets it was designed to imitate. If two or more magnets were swallowed, there is a risk that the magnets become drawn to each other in the digestive system, which could cause serious injury or death if medical attention is not sought immediately.

It’s reasonably foreseeable that a child could confuse the magnets with gummy bear sweets it was
designed to imitate.
As the product is capable of fitting into a small parts cylinder, a choking hazard exists for a child under 3yrs of age.
All eight of the magnets sampled were tested and found to have a magnetic flux index above 50 kG2mm2 and an average across the sample of 170.5 kG2mm2.
If two or more magnets were swallowed, there is a risk that the magnets become drawn to each other in the digestive system, which could cause serious injury or death if medical attention is not sought immediately.
Corrective action
The product has been withdrawn from the market and recalled from end users.
The listing has also been removed by the online marketplace (Etsy).
