- The product is a component part of an unpowered fresh air breathing apparatus (FABA). - The product presents a risk as cracking or fracturing in the area of the exhalation valve may compromise the structural integrity and sealing performance of the respirator, thereby reducing its effectiveness. As a result, the wearer may be exposed to hazardous airborne particles, fumes, or other contaminants due to inadequate respiratory protection, which may lead to adverse effects on respiratory health.
- The product does not comply with the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Regulation and the Equipment and Protective Systems intended for use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2016 (ATEX).
- Corrective action
- The product has been recalled from distributors by Helmet Integrated Systems Ltd.
